B&P provides ongoing legal and tax services to a Fortune Global 500 company that is expanding its European solar energy business
Our client is the German subsidiary of one of the largest global construction and building materials group of companies. With approximately 40 billion euros in revenues and almost 200,000 employees, this Fortune Global 500 is one of the 500 companies with the highest revenues in the world. Our client is responsible for the group’s global solar energy business; it constructs and sells turnkey solar power plants to individual investors in several European markets. B&P handles this project business and is dealing with all the legal and tax aspects of reorganising the company into an international EPC provider and general contractor for large photovoltaic systems. Initially, our tax expert Dr Falko Tappen is advising on the development and implementation of a fiscally optimised holding company structure.
“Experience in energy law, international contract law, tax law, company law and international project business are essential for this long-term work,” comments our partner Dr Jochen Brandhoff. “Only our firm can offer such a multidisciplinary consulting approach in the solar energy sector. This allows EPC providers, investment companies and component manufacturers to outsource all or part of their legal and tax departments to us.”
