B&P advises Solar Park Developer in the Acquisition of a Major Project in Scotland
Our client develops and constructs large-scale photovoltaic power plants in key European markets. For the construction of a 10 MWp photovoltaic power plant in the south of Scotland, our client is acquiring a special purpose vehicle that is in possession of the required grid connection, construction and operation permits and licenses. Brandhoff & Partner is responsible for the legal and tax side of the company acquisition and the realization of the PV power plant. This also includes preparing a due diligence report for the project, drafting agreements for the special purpose vehicle acquisition, for the supply of modules and inverters, as well as for the connection of the solar plant to the grid.
Our partners Dr. Jochen Brandhoff and Stephan A. Richter highlight: “Today, we advise more solar companies and investors outside of Germany than domestically. The focus of our regional activities is the UK, Turkey, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Eastern Africa. B&P’s collaboration with local law firms specialized in renewable energy could not be better. Based on these close relationships, we are in a position to offer our expertise in the realization of complex cross-border projects and transactions at fee-schedule rates common to medium-sized German law firms. Thanks to the addition of our new partner Prof. Dr. Falko Tappen, our expertise is not only comprised of full spectrum legal services, now we also provide tax consultancy.”
